VITO-DELVAUX, Berthe di
After complete studies at the Royal Academy of Music of Liège, Berthe di VITO-DELVAUX studied composition at the Brussels’ Royal Academy of Music in the class of Léon JONGEN, who introduced her in 1943 to the Contest of Rome where she was a laureate.
She won several prizes, among which the « Maria » Prize from the City of Liège, the « Modeste Grétry » Prize awarded for her whole lyric work by the SABAM in 1962 and the Consecration Prize from the Province of Liège in 1978.
She taught harmony at the Royal Academy of Music of Liège.
Her art gallery is a promoting center for the Belgian music.
She died on 2nd April 2005.
